1. The membership department is looking for a membership administrator. 2. Get great experience interning at South Africa's leading research and policy organisation that will serve as a first step to any career in research, policy, government, fundraising, marketing, and public relations.
Membership administration:
All aspects of administration for membership database and CRM (ACT)
Administration of membership accounts (Pastel)
Communication with members
All routine communications, enquiries and telephone calls.
Data Capturing
Producing membership and sales reports (including trends and projections)
At least 5 years experience in similar position
An excellent command of the English language
Numerate
Fast delivery and turnaround of work
Excellent computer skills
Proficiency in the MS Office Suite [Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook]
PASTEL
Personal Skills/Attributes
Detail focused
Excellent interpersonal skills
Team Player
Very well organised
Motivated, self-starter with a high level of responsibility
The ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment

2. We are looking for students with brilliant academic records,
excellent writing ability, and a demonstrable interest in politics and
economics. Internships are unpaid and voluntary opportunities aimed at
students who can commit to 15 hours a week at the Institute's offices
in Braamfontein and are offered on a 3 month basis. Wits and UJ
students are particularly encouraged to apply due to their proximity to
our offices.
Interns are assigned to various projects and work with researchers, fundraisers, and marketers gaining valuable workplace experience at South Africa's leading research and policy organisation.
